Join us as we discover the brand-new landmark of Ma Wan — Ma Wan 1868!
Ma Wan 1868 is the latest development of Ma Wan Park, built along the coast, offering stunning views of the sea, including the Kap Shui Mun Bridge and the Kap Shui Mun Bridge Bridge, allowing for unobstructed natural beauty.
The primary aim of this project is to restore and revitalize historical buildings. Alongside the renovation of village houses, it will offer a variety of cultural and creative studios, workshops, art shops, and dining venues to enhance the preservation and promotion of historical sites.
Participants will carry 4.8L of water (for adults) or 600mL (for children) to gain firsthand experience of the difficulties faced by water-scarce communities.
Starting from the colorful houses of Ma Wan 1868, participants will walk through Ma Wan Park Nature Garden (featuring Sweet Garden and the Rainbow Wall) and Tai Leng Tau, before concluding their journey back at Ma Wan 1868, with the breathtaking view of the Kap Shui Mun Bridge as the endpoint. The total distance covered will be about 3 kilometers

The old village houses have been revitalized with bright, colorful exteriors,
resembling the picturesque cottages of Italy's Cinque Terre,
and have become one of the must-visit photo locations at Ma Wan 1868!
Inside these cottages, workshops are frequently organized,
and there are creative shops aimed at promoting cultural and artistic development.
Ten Italian artists traveled to Hong Kong specifically for this project,
dedicating almost a month to their artwork.
The Rainbow Wall conveys seven distinct dimensions of love found in human relationships.
Each painting is designed in a three-dimensional style,
providing different visuals when viewed from the left and the right,
creating a captivating effect with seven walls and 14 paintings.
Illustrates life's phases from infancy to adolescence to adulthood.
Couples can stroll through the exquisite pavilions
and splendid flower-lined paths
reflecting on the meaning of love and life.
Tai Leng Tau is a small peak located in the southern part of Ma Wan,
standing at just 69 meters high.
The hiking trail is easy to navigate, allowing you to leisurely enjoy the pleasures of hiking.
As you ascend the trail,
you can overlook the enchanting views of the Ma Wan Channel and the nearby Lantau Island,
complemented by the magnificent sight of the Tsing Ma Bridge!
*Due to the hiking trails and steps along the Tai Leng Tau route, it is recommended that wheelchair users and families with strollers return to the starting point at Ma Wan Park Nature Garden for safety.
You can enjoy the magnificent views of the Kap Shui Mun Bridge,
accompanied by the gentle sea breeze,
allowing everyone to personally experience the tranquility and comfort that nature brings,
making you feel incredibly relaxed.
