Family Run For Water Rules

By submitting an entry in Family Run for Water, you accept the following rules and agree to comply with them.


  1. Participants must wear race bib (with timing chip) at a place clearly visible during the race. In case of any improper use of bib or participants’ failure to step on the timing mats, the Organizer will not be responsible for any failure of timing record. For participants who fail to pass any sensors may be regarded as race incomplete.
  2. Bib will not be distributed on the event day. To facilitate handling of emergency, please mark down your personal information personal information (name, emergency contact and phone number) at the back of the bib.
  3. Participants are strictly prohibited from swapping, selling or transferring the registration entry. Any breach of this rule will result in disqualification.
  4. All prizes will be awarded according to Gun Times.
  5. Participants should start the race according to the specified starting time, violators will be disqualified.
  6. Participants should follow the instructions and signage set on the route. Racing on unofficial routes or using short-cuts is strictly prohibited and will be disqualified once discovered.
  7. Participants should pass all timing mats located at the start point, finish point and other timing locations within the limited time. Failure to pass any sensors will result in disqualification.
  8. All participants should cross the timing mats at start point and finish point together, with the finishing time of the team based on the finishing time of the last member.
  9. Adult participants must carry 5L water with the water basket provided by the Organizer, while participants under 130cm must carry 770mL with the smaller water basket.
  10. Participants may add removable materials on shoulder straps and materials for holding the water bottle on the basket. Other assisting materials will not be allowed. Violators will be disqualified.
  11. Assistance in any kind is only allowed within the team. Non-team member cannot provide any support within the race. Violators will be disqualified.
  12. If the water has been disposed, consumed or opened, the participant’s race will be considered as incomplete.
  13. Participants completed the race will receive a Certificate of Participation, a Finisher medal and a Finisher Souvneir. If the water bottle is unloaded/opened/consumed, no time nor rank will be shown on the Certificate.
  14. Participants should understand the potential risks involved in taking part in the event and acknowledge the degree of fitness required. Participants should ensure that they are physically fit to finish the race. Any person who is pregnant or suffering from any chronic disease such as heart disease or high blood pressure should not participate in the Event. The Organizer reserves the right to deny the registration of any person who is known to have the above condition.
  15. The Prize Presentation Ceremony will commence at the Finish Area on the Race Day. All awarded winners will be invited to receive their awards. Winners must report to the Race Officials 30 minutes before the presentation at the Winners Booth located at the Finish Area. If winners failed to attend the Prize Presentation Ceremony on time, Race Officials will be the representatives to redeem his/her prize without any notice in advance.
